The Midnight Horse Show
When I look into his eyes – I see something pure –
something we humans can not destroy – I see his
ancestor’s running the great plains – free – answering to
no one – racing the wind and doing what they do best.
...A spirit will live forever - as long as -
someone lives that remembers it....
The name itself brings back memories of another time and place - so long ago. Kamwulfe Farms
is so much more than 1110 acres of land reserved for horses or the average run of the mill
farm. No, it is a place where humans spend their days helping the less fortunate of our species
and one of "Gods Chosen Creatures". It is a last chance ranch, a sanctuary - a place where
dreams come true. A place where old and unwanted horses and forgotten children - children of
abuse, children that are hearing impaired and children that are terminally ill come and find peace
and acceptance. In some ways it is their “Camelot” and maybe the only truly peaceful place on
earth where they will ever come to know.
Kamwulfe Farm is, most of all, a working ranch with real horses and passionate humans.
Passionate souls dedicated to helping the less fortunate realize a better life - if only for a few
hours - or a few days. It is people - giving their time, their energy and their emotions to a
group of children that see magic in a creature called – Equus - and hope for a new day that all to
often never comes.
The days are long and always emotional. They begin long before sunrise and end – long past
sunset. The nights – well - they are short and yet filled with reflections of the days work, its
memories and accomplishments. And most of all, it is the smiles on the little faces and fragile
spirits that you know have not much to smile about. And for the horses - they too have a story
to tell - memories to share and reasons to rejoice - for they are "Hayoka"
Yet more importantly, it is their last chance, their sanctuary, their special place - and for
adults, it is a place where children of abuse come to find uncomplicated love and absolute
acceptance. It is a place where children of neglect can find a friend to talk to with out fear of
violence or ridicule. It is where the children of a lesser God – the deaf or hearing impaired
child - can touch the face of nature and look silently into two big brown eyes and know in their
hearts that someone accepts them as their equal with respect and dignity. It is a place where
the true meaning of what it means to love something unconditionally - with out the pain of
rejection or ridicule by humans is forever. And, it is a place where lost souls come to seek
spiritual guidance and forgiveness. But more importantly, it is a place where the human spirit
escape and witness re-birth in the presence of God’s magnificent gift. It is a place far away
from the city and it is innate elements that have darkened a once perfect spirit. And it is
where "Hayoka" lives - for only "Hayoka" can take away a spirits pain and give them a sense of
relief.
Kamwulfe Farm is a place where everyday is a carbon copy of yesterday. A place where the
water is cool and clean. A place where the grass is so green it hurts your eyes to look at it and
where humans can touch the soul of a creature we know as - Equus. It is a place where kind-
hearted humans make a difference in the lives of others. But make no mistake about it, the
work is hard and emotional, but at the end of the day - friendships are formed that last a life
time. One day at Kamwulfe Farm with these lost souls and your life will never be the same -
because you will have touched the face of something and someone special, you will feel the
everlasting joy of being one with nature, understanding what’s inside a horses heart and witness
the healing power of unconditional love given freely - without reservation, without malice of
forethought and without a cost or price to pay.
A day at Kamwulfe Farm is filled with memories of little faces with broken hearts and not much
of a future ahead of them. Yet as they look into the eyes of "God Herself" they are reborn and
at the end of the day - those memories - never seem to leaves your mind - no amount of tears
will wash away what you felt. So we say: "Bring us your troubled souls, broken spirits and all
your children of a lesser God and "Hayoka" will comfort them and heal their souls". For you see,
"Hayoka" never lets a child leave with pain in their spirit.
We are non-profit - because we are "Hayoka". Come spend a day with us and you will realize:
“When You Wish Upon A Star – All Your Dreams Will Come True.”
Shameless Journey "Ashamed To Be A Part of The Male Species"
A Synopsis in Pain....
This is the story of a young child (Courtney Rogers) who was molested by her stepfather, a
white trash piece of garbage that her mother spent time with while floating from man to man
desperately trying to re-gain her youth and little girl ways. It is a ten-year old child’s silent cry
for help and when no one listened she turned to one creature that would not turn her down. One
morning while standing at the gates of Valhalla, Courtney met an old horse (Lady Alexia); she was
a rescued horse that also understood the pain of the human beast. The moment young Courtney
Rogers walked through the gates of the old farm, she took the first step to rebuild her life and
trust in humans with the help of Lady Alexia and one old human (Tim Walsh) who saw hope and a
brilliant future buried beneath the suffering that was written in her eyes. As her new life
begins to unfold on the farm, she learned how to love again and let the past settle to the bottom
of her heart where only the passage of time will heal this deep and ugly wound. This is an all to
familiar story that unfolds over an eight-year period in the life of a young child. At its core is
not how she over came the mental and physical scars left by an act she did not invite nor did she
deserve, rather why she chose those around her to help her start over and rebuild the bridge to
trust through hope and honesty. Shameless Journey is a testament to the healing power of a
bright spirit that was nearly destroyed and it’s window into the darker side of the male
species. But in the end, it’s an act of unselfishness, a demonstration of willpower and a show of
courage by one little girl who was forced to grow up long before her time. As time passes on the
farm, young child (Courtney Rogers) comes to understand the gentle nature of life through the
eyes of someone who offers her unconditional love with no demands and no expectations
everyday. This is a powerful story of the enduring spirit and when given the proper time and
circumstances it exhibits an innate willingness to heal it self and travel a road of choice and
free will. This is a story of a young girls pain, but more importantly, this is a young woman’s gift
as she reaches for heaven and finds two friends.
